I saw this movie the other day and LOVED it! It was amazing! Immediatly I went onto Chapters website and all of the comments say the book blows the movie away so I will definatly try and read it! Let you know what I think!
I enjoyed the most recent film very much though it took many liberties with the book. Obviously the book is wonderful, but it can be a very long read. What's nice about the film is it does a great job of capturing the themes of the book and translating them into an exciting and, in many ways, moving film. I particularly enjoyed the addition of the chess piece. I would recommend reading the book and seeing the movie, but understand that they are very different.
We had to read the book in French class. It was in English, so It boggles my mind as to what it had to do with french class. But, he allowed us to watch the movie the very last class. It was a great book and I loved the fact that the movie brought everything to life.
