I'd have no problem with my son in ballet. Infact I'd encourage it. Get him used to being around girls, and work on improving his balance, and grace.

If I had a son, I wouldn't have a problem with him wanting to be a dancer. He might meet some nice ballerinas.

Nope. Ballet is not just for ballerinas and it takes great strength and dedication to succeed

Absolutely no problem with it. Ballet is just as much exercise and strength training, if not more, as any sport. Plus, he'd be listening to decent music and not as much Top 40 BS.

I can tell you from personal experience that all the above advice is correct. I grew up living in a ballet school surrounded by hundreds of girls. I took ballet for ten years as a child and danced with the NYC Ballet. It was nothing but a great experince for me, both mentally and physically. Not to mention all the girls.
