Ctrl + whatever number selects your open tabs. Ctrl + tab cycles through your open tabs.
The extension "bookmark keys" is probably what you want.

There's probably an extension to do that. I have my bookmarks bound so that I can type "g some query" and it'll search Google for "some query", "w some query" and it'll go to the Wikipedia page for "some query", "php some query" and it'll go to the PHP documentation page for "some query", and a few others.
I don't use bookmarks for anything else besides that, though.

I found an installer(offline) for Google Chrome browser. Why doesn't Chrome just
have one as part of the application? The app worked fine.

You're reading In Safari I like how you can access bookmarks on the Bookmark Bar by hitting apple+(the number that it corresponds with from left to right). Is there a feature in Firefox that allows you access bookmarks with hotkeys?

OpenBook is another extension that allows YOU to specify shortcut keys for whichever bookmarks you like. This version is compatible with the current FF builds.
