Any advice for someone that is going out on a blind date, set up by a family member?

Plan an exit strategy - a phone call an hour into the date that could be a plausible, non-family related emergency.

Don't even go. I've never been on one. I've been set up before where I've gone to a dinner or a party and there was a girl there 'for me', but I never was attracted, even when I didn't know it. The reason it's called a blind date, as far as I am concerned, is because invariably you wish you were.
