The housekeeping people when I stay in a hotel. Cab drivers.

Cab Drivers, Delivery People, Like the pizzaperson. Doormen, and anyone who gives you something that involves your making money. bookie, Stock broker, etc.

pearls of wisdom, and risk forsight to stupid people who are about to jack them selves up

my hairdresser, the kid who cleans our yard, my kids when they do a really good job at something, bell boys, sky caps, hotel housekeepers

Delivery drivers (particularly in the food industry), espresso stand workers, cab drivers (the two times in my life that I rode in one). I consider tipping anyone who has a tip jar. I usually find it appropriate. That's about it. Most of the other services that I would tip (i.e. hair stylists, hotel staff) I don't make use of.

I always tip my newspaper delivery person and my mailman/woman.
