So basically you want to form the environmentalist neutrality party?

LOL I think you're describing the Nordic countries. Personally, I wouldn't mind adopting those ideas in a party. :D Except for that last bit. I love the deep talks we have here. Well, most of the time. They can be pretty insightful, especially when they're centered around things I don't already have belief in or that much knowledge of.

I can understand your desire to avoid conflict, but I believe what you're proposing is unrealistic. There's a definite place for serious issues on Answerbag. In fact, I'd guess that keeping away from the serious issues would cause most most of the more intelligent Baggers to stay away from Answerbag. Fluff over substance is about as fulfilling as a diet of skim milk and iceberg lettuce. FineBalance, I'm sorry that happened to you. I really am. When you say you've been trolled, do you mean that you've received a slew of "Not Helpful"s on the two answers you reference in your comment? Or do you mean that people are downrating your answers, regardless of the subject matter? If it's the former, my best advice is to avoid answering controversial questions if you dislike disagreement, because that's part of the package. If it's the latter, and people are childishly downrating your unrelated answers - not to sound unsympathetic by any means - but welcome to the club. You're not the first and unfortunately, I doubt you'll be the last. The same thing has happened to every Bagger who's been answering questions for more than a week, it seems. Believe me, no matter how badly you've been bitten by the anonymous downraters, your story pales in comparison to some others we've heard. My suggestion, harsh though it may sound, is to try and forget unfair ratings. If your answers are good, they will receive enough positive ratings to balance out the bad.
