i used to believe that until i found out i had cancer. but it is cured now, but maybe it is heaven because i was cured. but i do not believe that we are in heaven.

Hey, I made a very similar comment along these lines recently. What if LIFE and what we make of it is heaven? There is no doubt that we have the ability to experience great joy on this planet. Sure, crappy things happen too, so I guess it's not, but sometimes I wonder if our choices aren't taking this planet farther from how much it could resemble anyone's vision of heaven.

Assuming heaven exists the way religious teachings would have us believe there is no possible way this could be heaven. There is one key rule being broken, sin, it's not allowed there. Not to mention all the suffering, death and destruction that goes on endlessly. And God still chooses to remain hidden from us. If this is heaven then God is an evil, sadistic liar........even moreso than the bible already makes him out to be.

Sometimes I wonder if we were insects and then dogs and then monkeys and so on in all of our past lives until we finally moved up to humans, the final best life called heaven.

This is not heaven. Heaven is a place with no pain and suffering. If anything, this is most like hell, minus the fire and brimstone.
