I work for Uncle Sam, i'm good!

I'm a homemaker, so I'm very secure in my work. Hubby just got a raise and a promotion, and helped his company through a major computer conversion, so his job is almost guaranteed, as long as the company keeps going - the building supply industry is pretty secure.

I own my on business and stay pretty busy... & why worry anyway, it doesn't help anything, it just causes more stress.

Yeah seeing all this horrible stuff happen made me kind of content with where I am in the military. Just being honest, I feel really bad for all those families losing their jobs all because of someone else's mistakes.

I'm no more worried about my job now than I was last summer, or the summer before that. That is, I could easily be replaced by unpaid volunteers, since my job is not one that requires much training. However, I feel pretty safe, since I am even better than the person who trained me, and I doubt they could find someone that would work as long as I would for so little pay (or no pay). But if there were money problems, I would probably be the first to go, since what I do is not really that important.

I know I will lose my job by mid-2010. The data center is scheduled to be shut down by that time. I might be out of work before that time, nobody knows for certain.

I actually ask my boss this week about the security of my job. All's good, thank goodness.
