Yes Bluetooths are notoriously insecure.

In theory any wireless connection can be exploited, and Bluetooth is pretty insecure. Bluetooth is not a long distance protocol, however. They might connect but they'd have to be within a few yards of you for it to work.

Not as likely if you don't have the bluetooth turned on when you're not actively using it.
