  • The first thing I would ask you is did you take any medicine or were you drinking alcohol. The reason I say that is that there are certain meds and of course all alcohol that make you feel very meloncholy. That's type of behavior that it seems to me you are describing. If you did ingest on of the above or not, obviously you needed to let go. You needed emotional outlet and came out in the form of tears. I'll tell you, sometimes I will watch a show that makes me sad and the tears will start coming down my face. I swear I started crying because of what I just saw and then the next thing I know, I'm bawling like a baby about everything in the world. It's okay. I would caution you however, that if this happens too much, you might want to consult a professional. Perhaps you need someone to talk to? Well, while I haven't been a part of AB for very long, it appears to me that the AB community are very good listeners. I just remembered a song from when I was younger that Rosie Grier, the football player sang. "It's alright to cry, crying gets the mad out of you. It's alright to cry, it might make you feel better."
  • Hey calm down I have been throw that I didn't drink last night so I didn't sleep last night no REM sleep for me. You have had some bad things going on with your life as I recall look step back and look at things objectively or you'll end up like what happened to me me albeit it was preplaned in a WARD and if your upset now wait until they start taking your blood 3 times a day and you can't go anywhere. I learned at the end of the day it's just me and my dog everyone else sadly was out for them selfs and I didn't matter. I will pray for you also many people at Y/A AB and other sites like that do not care remember that girl that killed her self. Step away from the computer seek professsional help or help from a Church. That's all I can do from here.
  • Sounds like you are suffering from depression or some type of post dramatic stress disorder. You might want to see a doctor and maybe get on some type of medicine. This is not normal and it may lead to you acting out other things.
  • Chopping onions again, eh?
  • I also have been troubled by this . Tears just pour down my face without reason ....they wont stop I am a 71 yr old woman who lost her only child 10 yrs ago , I wouldnt think I am still having a reaction to this?
  • Stop chopping onions and see what happens
  • This is very normal for short periods of time. It is just your body's way of coping with stress or anxiety. Another reason, especially if you are a woman is just a temporary hormone imbalance. If it persist then I would consult a physician, but I've seen docotors before and all they really do is give you drugs. I'd much rather have my little episode and have my body release the stress than to just medicate it (which really doesn't accomplish anything). I always feel better afterwards.
  • I'm a 17 yrs old female and an episode hasn't happend to me in a long time, but it started maybe a year or so ago and only like 3 times tops it only occurs at night and lasts usually 2 hrs like u said. But I am perfectly happy and healthy. It all goes away the next day and doesn't happen often at all maybe once a year for me. I always talk to my mom and she comforts me and I start to feel a lot better and by the next day I am soo happy its like its a new me lol. Its weir I know and scary at first but once you get through it its worth it. maybe if it only occurs like once a year type thing then take a sleeping pill...But I would just let it run its course since it doesn't last very long and it is perectly healthy and normal to cry anyway. I think I do this because I am getting closer to growing up etc and I'm just terrified to. I hope you find this helpful. :)
  • sounds like a chemical imbalance in your brain
