Probably the worst thing you can do now is just back out! Give them time to re-coup, it should all work out.

I don't have a broker, I moved most of my 401k out of stocks into a safe fund in the spring. When the market starts to come back, I'll get back in.

It depends on the purpose of your investments. For long, term retirement funds, assuming they are good solid companies, this is good advice. Hubby is our investment guru, and he says for the most part, you do not sell when the market is down.

I know that people who work in the Trucking Industry get mad at the Corporation they work for,and fire all the best drivers,it could possibly affect the stock market you know? Perhaps they are from another corporation,and getting rid of them,or possibly an investor in an oligarchical esoteric scheme? My broker never gave me any advice. Every trading decision I made was done on my own. Each and every trade had to meet certain criteria or I simply didn't trade. As they say, "Cash IS a position."
