If you are talking of sexual relations, then age does matter. But your question is about love, so I will go with that. A long, long time ago I met a man in high school. I was a freshman, he a junior. Not only was he entirely way too good looking, he was entirely way too naughty...But I wasn't that good either. We had a short relationship - only 4 months - but it was perfect, beautiful, passionate, and intense. I had never experienced anything like it. I fell for him, and I despised it when other people said "oh it's puppy love" and "you don't know what love is". I am an adult now, and I will tell you (having other relationships and being married) this was true love. It really was it. At 14 and 17. So love is possible in high school despite age, if this is what you mean.

Of course not. A few shallow people may think so, if it's what they think is a 'dramatic' diference. But if its love. Then the two people shouldnt care less.

For dating no. But be careful what you call "love" like is good, but love (if you REALLY mean it) is a little far in high school, unless you have been dating for atleast a year or two.

You will find that high school love is very different from adult love. HS love is more about how a person makes you feel about yourself. Adult love is more about how you feel about the other person and your compatibilities. Feel free to enjoy both! But remember nature has programmed you to be "attracted" to each other and logic may not count for much when you are young. The imperative of nature is to reproduce. That is why older women say they can hear their biological clocks ticking. They have the urge to do as nature commands, as you do now. You decide how all this fits into your goals and plans for the future. Good luck.

I think that there are many levels of love, it is not cut and dry, what you conceive as love in high school, you may view differently, as you get older. Is it wrong to love in high school, absolutely not, should you perform sexual acts in high school because you are in love, well, I would wait just to make sure that your love, is there for the long haul. If you are a teacher, in love with a student, yes, wrong,legally.

yes. if you are underage don't date anyone older than 17. Could get them in BIG trouble.

Age does matter if you are seeing someone older than you. If you are not 18 and they are, it could mean big problems. I would say emotionally it matters, too. Not trying to insult younger teenagers, but do you really know what you want when you're 15? Wait. The right person will come along.

I don't see any problem with it. I am 18 and dating a 15 year old girl who I love. I was actually wondering if there was any problem with that but I don't think there would be.

*sigh* from my point of view it does. IT IS highschool we are talking about. Plus there is no point to love someone coz you'll stick to that person and might miss other ppl who might be better. So make up your mind and look ahead of yourself. Life is still full of choices.
