My parents are in their 90s,my mom is bedridden,and my father is severely affected by alzhiemers disease,our health care aide helps with my parents,but my father does nothing but sit on the living room couch and sleeps.i need to leave,is it okay?

You have to do what you feel best. I would probably never be able to leave those who had sacrificed their own futures to raise me, but then again, my parents aren't invalids. This is a tough one. Good luck finding an answer you can live with.

Are you searching for validation that it's OK to abandon all responsibiilty? I don't think you'll find that here. How long have you been living at home, taking care of your parents? Do you have any siblings or other support people? Where do you want to leave TO? Could you live with yourself if you left and something happened to your parents? These are questions only you can answer.
