My friend wrote a book with his name as the primary Character.

I have one son and I named him after his father..yep, he is a "junior". My ex-husband wasn't too thrilled but I told him since I carried our son for 9 months I should get to choose his name and he didn't argue with me after that! :) ((hugs))

I think it was because both their names were in vogue at their time of birth.....they both have my middle name for their middle name...thats a family thing.

My son is named after a person in the Bible.

My ex husband won on the first name but I got the middle name Desiree. I wanted that name because it means desired & wanted child

I looked and looked at books with names. I worked in a preschool and saw a name on the chalkboard that said Melissa. I went with that. Then I like Amy from Little Woman and named her Amy. Our son was named after my husband and his name is David.

I don't have any kids but if I get a son he'll get my middle name and a daughter will be name after a bunch of people.

My son's middle and last name are ridiculously long so we had to choose a short first name. I went to school with a guy who was the all around great guy....smart, funny, handsome, great at sports, teachers loved him, employers loved him, etc, so when thinking of a name, I thought of him. It's been 20 years and this guy is still awesome! Love my choice :)

my wife is pregnant right now. we are naming our child Chloe. Chloe is a character on the CW show Smallville. i love that show. anyways that how i got her name :)

My son is named after his great-grandfather Samuel. My older daughter is named after her great-grandmother Charlotte. And my younger daughter is named after the ancient Greek goddess of the rainbow Iris.

My wife and I talked at length about it and in the end she got to decide each time.

I was working with Greyhounds at the time of my pregnancy and i named my son after my favorite Greyhound...Adam:)
