Is it true that if I have a Cable/DSL router I do not need a Firewall? I heard that the Linksys router comes with a firewall that works as good or even better than any other one. Is it true?

True. That is what I have. It has a firewall.

Although a home router often comes with a firewall, it is only designed to stop attempts at incoming connections, not outgoing ones. It is a better idea to use a firewall on your PC in addition, to stop unauthorized connections from your PC to the internet (such as from malware). Windows XP comes with such a firewall (basic as it is). Make sure it's enabled or get a third party firewall such as Zone Alarm (free).
