  • Certainly not me. At some point if you arn't going to endevor to help yourself then you don't deserve help from others.
  • Tough love is an expression used when someone must treat another person harshly or sternly in order to help them in the long run. In most uses, there must be some actual love or feeling of affection behind the harsh or stern treatment to be defined as tough love. There is a significqant rise in numbers of death of teenagers involved in a tough love situation and that has caused questions on the principle of tough love. In my opinion it's BS it does not work and it causes more and more juveniles to hit the bricks, leave home and add to the problems in the street. I have dealt with way too many.
  • Tough love simply means that you care enough for the child to do what is best for them, no matter how difficult or unpleasant. It is a skill that has to be learned. Many parents don't have the skills to deal with rebellious kids. Too many times they either apply the "tough" or the "love" but not consistently or simultaneously.
  • Not me I appluad tough love as long as the parent can balance the toughness and love. If you spank a kid and don't telling him why you did it then your just being tough without the love.
