  • aisle so I can go to the restroom without disturbing anyone
  • It depends. If I am flying with people I know, I prefer the window seat. If I am flying by myself, I prefer the aisle seat. The reason? I don't like climbing over strangers in the event I need to leave my seat to use the restroom. If I'm with people I know, I don't mind climbing over them. The window is my favorite seat because I can lean to the side and sleep and the drink cart won't hit me in the elbow every time it comes past.
  • On short domestic flights I prefer the aisle seat - easier to get in and out of. On long haul flights I prefer the window seat simply so that nobody has to disturbe you to get in or out (to go to the loo for example).
  • aisle -- you can get up and walk around whenever you want without bothering anybody.
  • i like the window seat.looks pretty cool to look outside.
  • well, on my first flight my cousin thought he would be funny, and he told me to it it the aisle seat, ill never sit anywere else (at the time the terrorist attacks were a huge thing) he told me if i was a strange looking man with a gun in his hand to run to the bathroom! now the whole time i was terrified. i was sitting on my own with my parents two rows above me, a asian man was seated next to me and as he sat down i just ran to my mum! it took me a while for mum and nana to tell me that my cousin was only joking! but yeah i prefer the aisle seat for that "easy exit"
  • I like the window. I like to see what's going on out there. Plus, I don't like anyone squeezing past me to go to the bathroom. Something about having a crotch or butt in my face that just doesn't make me feel too comfortable.
  • Window seat , but I always like to sit in just two seats I loathe the centre seat
  • aisle, I actually have a phobia of being stuck in a seat. (it's the same with trains and buses) I think it originates from always needing to go to the toilet so often, and worrying i wont be able to go.
  • Window seat - so I can be the one that disturbs other people when going to the toilet! and I can rest my head on the window and ...zzzz..
  • Definitely the window seat, I hardly ever need to use the restroom even on a long flight... I just close my eyes and wake up when we land, so I like to be out of the way so nobody disturbs me by trying to get past.
  • No one has said the middle seat, so I'll say it. Why? Because then I can strike up conversations with two people. And if one is hostile, I can talk to the other. And I can see out the window as well as get out easily. Also, the middle seat has the best lighting for reading.
  • I prefer the window seat so that I can look out. I love to look at the clouds and scenary.
  • ive only flown twice the first time i was sooooo scared i had the aisle seat and the second time was the window seat but i swapped halfway throught the flight. the thing is it doesnt make any difference to me because im claustrophobic so as soon as the plane door closes im in a panic anyway
  • I used to like window seats, then I saw that gremlin, now I don't fly.
  • Window seat, because I am not afraid of heights and I enjoy the view.
  • The aisle seat... I get claustrophobic on any other seat.
  • I cannot do without sitting at window or aisle.
  • I don't mind.
  • window so i can look out and day dream. But after 9/11 and "SNAKES ON A PLANE" - no flying for me thanks! Support the return of the avatar: http://www.answerbag.com/.../111472
  • All three so I can inconveniently spread myself across all of the people sitting in them and strike up a very strained conversation.
  • All three so I can inconveniently spread myself across all of the people sitting in them and strike up a very strained conversation.
  • All three so I can inconveniently spread myself across all of the people sitting in them and strike up a very strained conversation.
  • Window seat. I love watching the view.
  • i like the window seat best because i like to look out the window and see the trees, roads, and buildings all so small
  • window--i like looking out of the window and seeing the clouds and the landscape, and i'm not afraid of heights, so it's all good :)
  • Window seat so I can look outside and watch the gremlins ripping chunks out of the wing.
  • I prefer the window seat; I want to see stuff, even if it's only clouds.
  • Window. I love the view. Middle kind of sucks because you're crammed between two people and without fail one of them will doze off and use your shoulder as a pillow. I don't like the aise seat because people have a tendency to bump into you as they walk down the aisle.
  • Window seat! I'll sit for hours with my face pressed up against the plastic, just staring out at the great sights, even if we're flying over ocean.
  • Window seat. I love looking out the window at the scenery, but I do like to be close to the stewardesses to get food fast also.
  • window, for the view, and I can lean on the side of the plane if I want a nap.
  • I like having the aisle, when I'm on planes I tend to have stomach issues and end up having to use the bathroom a lot, and I hate having to climb over people epically if I have to climb over someone I don't know!
  • Aisle, no question, so that I can stretch my legs out into it, and obviously for easier access to the toilet, in case I get lucky and some hot girl asks me to join the mile high club. Window seat only ever if the aisle is taken, and it's the last seat available. Middle seat - I'll walk thanks.
  • Window (exit aisle if possible) I'm 6"3 and I usually weigh between 220 and 240 pounds. I like to lean on the wall of the plane to rest my large self.
  • The window. Always. Because I just love looking out windows, especially from far up.
  • I prefer the window seat. I have long legs so I can't get any space in the middle seat and flight attendants always hit my leg when I'm on the isle seat.
  • Always window seat. I rarely go to washroom and sleep in all of my journeys. I rest my head on the window and dose off.
  • the window, i could be able to see the ground and report a missing engine if it was gone.
  • Aisle seat for sure. I only asked for a window seat when I flew the very first time ... oh, it has been ages.
  • Depends on which aircraft it is. I always liked the window, then once I was flying from Japan to the US, and I noticed I was getting really HOT as this aircraft had no adjustable air valves to cool me. They just had a slit above the windows that blew air to the people in the middle of the aircraft. I was like HUH??! And it was so full I could not move, so I put a paper up there to redirect the air down on myself, but I had to hold it up there. It was terrible. Now I hear they are not even going to be required to give people fresh air anymore, and are now making aircraft that do not have fresh air intakes on them. This is so horrible, because of the high level of disease transmission already in planes. I am considering not flying anymore unless I can get a certain type of aircraft. (that has fresh air, and a control the passenger can adjust) Do we need a law? Common ohair, help us out here. Hey did u see the UFO? I just saw on the news some pilots even saw it over the terminal, but the FAA says it was a cloud. Ya the FAA knows better than a group of airline employees if a cloud was over the terminal! Oh dont scare us, we cannot handle it, a ufo! oh tell us it was a cloud so I dont go 90 mph down the highway with all my money from the bank in the car. How stupid do they think we are? Personally, I believe the pilots. (and look I am not scared) Oh and I like how AA says they have no recollection of the call to the tower. HAA HA. It's ok AA, we believe you.
  • When I fly I prefer the window seat because I love to just look out the window at the beautiful scenery.
  • Window seat...I love looking out and seeing the clouds and the ground. It's great when approaching a scenic area like San Francisco or Paris...especially at night.
  • Aisle so I can kid myself Im on a train or coach
  • If I know I'will want to go to the bathtroom, the aisle seat. But it's also annoying to have people asking you to stand up... If not, clearly the window seat: just to watch out of the window.
  • Window seat. I want to make sure the pilot is heading in the right direction.
  • The one closest to the window because i look outside! Sad i know
  • aisle or window, I hate getting squashed by 2 fat men. Its happened before
  • Window. I am large and long legged. I can stabilize myself against the wall an d I don't have to be watching my feet constantly for fear of tripping someone up.
  • Aisle seat... I have long legs.
  • Isle, I like to check out the Hostess
  • The window seat all the way. If your in the middle, you are squished between two people. If your on the isle seat, those people always hit your elbows or run over your feet with the trays. So yeah, the window seat is the best(but not if you have a weak bladder, know what I mean)lol
  • The window seat! =) i like to look out during landing/take off!
  • Any seat as long as its a safe flight.
  • If possible, id like to have all 3!
  • I like the window. I enjoy watching the scenery and I don't like people climbing over me.
  • Window seat. I like to look out the window during my flight. I don't like the aisle seat because people walking by might bump you a lot. I hate the middle seat, it makes me feel trapped and claustrophobic.
  • Window Seat because you get to watch the world go by.
  • with friends - the middle seat or with family the window seat! xx no reason xx
  • Window.
  • window! so many cool things to see, even if its the tops of clouds!
  • i love the window...i always request the window side. i love heights so i love to look down. i hate the center!!!! *sighs* so unconfortable. window is good...i always get it no matter what, i betta
  • i prefer window because you get something to look at. but when there is a TV infront of you i would prefer aisle because if you need to go to the bathroom all you have to do is get up and you have easy access to the airline staff
  • Window, especially when I'm on the airplane.
  • Aisle, I hate having to crawl over people to get to the washroom
  • Window. Especially in the car, because your not as squashed and your the first to get out. Oh yeah and you have something to look at outside, when bored. I loving looking out when on a plane.
  • Aisle if it's a night trip. I twitch a lot in small spaces so having the option of streching out a little in the aisle always makes me feel somewhat better. otherwise I don't care.
  • always aisle! Less of that "veal" feeling.
  • I always get a window, and I don't know why, because the aisle would be much more convenient. I don't mind getting up for someone, but I hate to bother them. I guess I just like having something to look at.
  • I prefer a window seat and preferably not over the wing!!!
  • I've never been on an airplane, but if I did, I'd prefer the window seat.
  • aisle. i'm a big guy.
  • Window. I like looking out of the window. As a very young kid, I used to cry if I didn't get a window seat. I unintentionally annoyed a heck of a lot of people
  • Aisle. I've been on some loooong flights (ie. 18 hours). I would get incredibly claustrophobic sitting by the window for that amount of time. Also, I hate to keep troubling someone when I have to get up to go to the bathroom. When I travel with someone, we get aisle and aisle. That way're still next to each other, but we have leg room, less of a confined feeling, and we can both go to the bathroom whenever we want! :)
  • I always prefer a window seat but for my 6'4" frame I choose the aisle. Which is an adventure in itself because my foot sometimes act as a road block for the drink cart and the stewardess has to wake me to remove my foot and a napkin for the line of drool that's protruding from my chin. No mile high club here.
  • I am never really quite sure which to pick when I get to choose.... I like the window seat cause I can lean on the wall to try and sleep... but I like the aisle because I hate having to interrupt the other people when I need to get to the loo.... I can't imagine anyone actually preferring the middle!
  • Window. I love look out the window just about as much as a little child does. It is facinating.
  • Aisle, because it is easier to leave the seat without bothering anyone.
  • I've never flown. I'm afraid to. If I ever do get to travel, I'll have to look out the port-hole on a ship.
  • Sit by an exit....and pay attention at landing and take off. If you are ever in an accident..most happen landing and taking off...you are there and out the exit. If not..consider going over the tops of the seats to get there. Smoke and toxic fumes get a lot of people in the infrequent crashes and there is not much time. Otherwise...it is a flying bus. Not important where you sit.
  • I like the Window seat at either the back. or in business class I must admit i prefer to sit in the very back row of two.In the tail section
  • center. because then if there's a hot guy in your row you sit by him no matter what. and if they're both ugly, i guess you're screwed, but i'll take my chances.
  • I prefer the window seat, but I don't usually get it.
  • Window for life. Just like a little child. My inner child always show in situations like this.lol
  • window, i dont like feeling closed in and i dont like to have to sqeeze myself in to let other people through!
  • I prefer a seat at the emergency exits if not flying business class. My Jeans are 36" in length, so you can believe me that I need the additional room in front of my seat for my legs.
  • I prefer the window seat b/c I want to look out of window and see what is going on and where we are.
  • WINDOW, i love heights and i love sitting in the window
  • Most usually the window. I always sleep when flying for more than an hour (and sometimes less). I've flown enough so that the flying itself is not the thrill and I would rather sleep during the lull and have more awake time for fun when I get where I'm going. If it's a flight of five hours or less, why would you have to go to the bathroom more than once, unless you have some special need? If that is the case, then I agree. Take the middle or aisle so you don't bug me (as if that were possible!). I can sleep anywhere though. If I'm stuck in middle or aisle, I'll just put the seat back table down and put my head down on it for sleep, like kids used to do in school. :) Safe Travels !
  • Window - so I can look out at the clouds and take pictures of the sunset or sunrise
  • window - i wanna see whats going on and i want something beside me to rest my head on!
  • window... so if im that bored i can have a look outside and also no ppl walk oast and knock u
  • Aisle, so I can move around. I hate sitting still, so I like being able to get up and stretch my legs without having to irritate other people. The only down side of the aisle it during boarding, people bump their bags into your head.
  • Aisle seat. I'm claustrophobic. Also, I can get up when I want to and I don't like disturbing others.
  • Window for me please. It makes sleeping much easier. ☺
  • I used to prefer the window so I could look out. But ever since a very, very large woman was seated next to me (they had to bring a seat belt extension for her) and crushed me against the window for two hours (there were no empty seats on the plane), I've started requesting aisle seats.
  • I like the window so I can just stare at the clouds and let my mind wander.
  • Aisle seat so can get out quickly if need to.
  • I prefer the aisle seat.
  • I love the window seat!
