  • no, in a stop sign you should always stop.
  • Engineers sit and study intersections for days at a time. this is to determine the level of danger and what traffic signal or signs are necessary for the safety of the driving public. As you have observed, these signs and signals are 24/7. they are there for a reason.....safety and liability. You cannot run a stop sign....cars or no cars.
  • The law says to always stop for a stop sign. Realistically however, esp at an isolated location, if no other car is present, many drivers roll through the stop sign. However, my sister rec'd a ticket for that once.
  • They do not drag in the stop signs at sundown, no matter what state you are in.
