Yes, I would have to agree with all previous posts, they do... You will never forget what that person has said and done to you, for better or worse... and you will always remember the good and bad times... but that doesn't mean you won't ever love again... It might just take a bit more time and you probably won't take the first thing that comes by... or 2nd even...

Yes it is true. You'll allways remember your first love in a way but don't think of it as a guilt, like you could have been nicer etc. I felt like that after 2 years and it doesn't help when your trying to date another.

they say first love never dies, i take this phrase as "memories of you first love never dies" becoz most of the times we think that its the love that never dies but the truth is, its just the memories that never dies.

well from my experiance . my first love was the boy across the street which i suppoise you could class as the boy next door. i knew him since i was 3 years old and we were bestfriends and we were going out right up to last year. we were together for around 12 years sure we had our arguements we still do but i will always deep down love him. hes always there for me as a friend even tho were not together i still have strong feelings for him for example i see him with another girl and i run oof an then cant stop thniking about it for days. so basically yes you do always love your first love

It is the first love that first shows us the reasons to seek someone's emotional support and to get dependent on them. It unintentionally teaches us our criterias to look for someone. First love teaches of experiences that remain with us, It helps us further in Life in differentiating people. Yes, First love always leaves its traces on our personality for a longer time, especially when we are very emotional. However, In case of people who arn't much emotional or don;t take such things seriously, they might not forget their first love soon. But, then "True Love" is never easily forgotten!

Personally, as long as there's no abuse involved, I think you will always love ANYONE you have really loved. Even then, it takes work to "fall out of love" with someone so far that you cannot say that you DO NOT love them. So, yes... You will always love your first (and second and ...) love. ;-)
