No, I've always maintained an approximate running total in my head, and never been far out at the end.
-
No, but I always calculate the price versus content on those "save money" packs... sometimes they trick you.
-
I use the one in my phone alot, yes.
-
I tend to shop with a calculator when I'm abroad 'cos I need to convert the exchange rate - need to know if the item is worth buying etc.
-
Not usually. Generally I can work things out in my head.
-
I did a few times, but it was not really very good company, and it interfered with flirting as well, so I gave it up.
-
I do calculate, but I do it mentally. I know my tables and a few shortcuts in quick addition.
-
Yes, when I was a single mom with 3 kids to feed, I took the calculator with me to the grocery store so I wouldn't go over my budget.
-
no, but i should probably start. i often get a nasty surprise at the checkout at the price of the stuff i've picked up.
-
Yes..I get groceries that way. I have a budget and I make sure I don't go over.
-
I use my cell phone instead :) that way would be more convenient and...eh...discreet
-
I use to use a calculator..but since it is just three of us I shop for now I tossed it to the side.
-
Sometimes, but I'll use the one on my cell phone.

No, I just run the numbers in my head. I come out pretty close, within $10 usually.
-
I have shopped with a calculator, but only a couple of times and that was a long time ago.
-
I'm an auditor so yes.... I take my calc everywhere with me.
-
I usually don't use a calculator to shop with, because I have a good idea of the general amount of money that I am planning on spending during that peticular shopping trip. I budget myself $40 a week for groceries, and I stick to that budget, so now I know pretty much how much stuff will cost at the grocery store.
-
just my brain;)
-
No, I have never ever shopped with a calculator. I will just normally check through the purchased items with the receipt listing.
-
No, I usually shop with a credit card or cash
-
yeah when I was vacationing in Vietnam several years ago. One US dollar was like 16,200 Dongs and it was easier to use a calculator when the prices were in the millions.
-
Nope,Always use my brain as one ;)
-
if I buy less than 2 items I just add it up in my head... I've always been quite good at maths.
-
i did it years ago, its pretty useful especially for a lot of shopping
-
I have when I've done large shopping trips for other people and have a set amount to spend
-
yes - i usually mess it up somehow.
-
I have on occassion. But when the numbers started making me have anxiety, I turned it off, & put it right away!!Ha...when I go to the grocery with a list, I sometimes write the price on the list & keep adding each item & totaling, only if I have a certain amount of money. But other then that, no, not usually.
-
no..
-
yes, but a cart holds more groceries.
-
I recently got my old one out and started using it this week.
-
I generally round everything up to the nearest $10 in my head (when I buy a bunch of small items for just a $ or 2 each, I lump them together as a single $10 item). I usually come out pretty close :-)
-
No; but I have seen times when I go along adding up things with pen and paper as I shop ...
-
I dont think I have but I remember my mum doing that when I was little. I should start doing it.
-
No, I just take a certain amount (Maximum £20) and spend as much of that as possible.
-
