Although I disagree with the Wrong Reverend Phelps and his church, I have to admit that I do not think that the constitution and the bill of rights are just god damn pieces of paper. They hold truths that while many think only apply to those with the right message, also means that those with the wrong message gets to speak. Eventually bigotry and intolerance will go the way of the dinosaur. they must if our species will survive, thrive and colonize the planets and beyond. considering the major changes in civil liberties and civil rights in just the past 60 years, we humans are on the right path. No it is not an easy one, and it will be full of exhausting little minds who will scream shrilly about hell and damnation and all of those ugly things. But we should only use them as example of how bad bigotry is and the sickness of the soul that makes such intolerance possible.
