Well all I can say is this - I moved to the Detroit area in 1981 and lived there until 2002 and the Lions were a losing team throughout. And from what I can gather , they havent done any better since either. The story is/was that the owner likes to micro-manage the team, coaches, staff and basically he makes terrible decisions because he doenst have a clue about football, yet cant keep his hands out of the pie. Until the Lions change hands they will be a losing team no matter which players thay have or what coach they have. Why do you think Barry Sanders retired so early? he knew there was no point and he would never be traded

I would have to say that the Reds are in the race for 2nd place also. Don't count them out! :)

That is a good question. Until recently, the Arizona Cardinals were gunning for the prize but Yeah, the Lions just plain suck.
