  • It has ALWAYS been time to "go back" to people's homes. THAT is Biblical; most of the rest is not.
  • Personally, I'm not much on titles such as Evangelical or Fundamental. I am a simple servant and disciple of Jesus Christ. I do agree with your statement about replacing Christianity with churchianity. Much of the Church today has a disease called apathy. The frightening part is that this disease is mutating into a much more virulent strain called apostasy. The church is deformed and barely resembles the New Testament Church anymore. Some of the most visible aspects of this apostasy virus are, as you mentioned, the big money churches with their deceit, lying, false teachings, lying wonders in the shape of false healing, etc. Money is their god and they will do almost anything to get and worship it. Yes, it is time to go back to small congregations and home Bible studies. Start putting God first again. I'm glad to see that your question was posted. This very subject has been a thorn in my side for years. It breaks my heart to see what's happening to the church but I also get a tad perturbed because the people, the Christians as a whole, including myself, have allowed it to happen. If religious persecution was to begin in this country, would we be prepared to meet it with a steadfast faith and courage? Are we willing to take up our cross daily and follow Jesus, even unto death? How would the mega-churches handle persecution? Would they try to buy their way out of it?
