I found it the easiest to keep my itunes on an external hard drive, I keep it on my computer also, but when I get a new computer I just plug in the external harddrive and copy all the songs over to the new computer. Plus you have the songs if your conputer crashes.

iTunes on the Mac has a progress bar at the top that allows one to move back/forth within a song. Is that feature on the iPhone's iPod?
