My friend who turned 16 two days earlier and I drove to another town (he drove because it was his car and he had a school permit). He got his license just by paying a fee because he had the school driving permit already. I drove his car (first time I ever drove it) to pass my driving test and got my license also. Neither of us had to pass the written test since he had passed when he got the school permit and I had passed when I got my learners permit. No adults involved!!

Nothing happened. I ate cake, just like the last previous birthdays. No presents because my parents are too poor to buy me any. I didn't have a party because my parents are poor. They are janitors. My parents never went to college. No friends came over to my house because I didn't have any.
