If you enjoy the fellowship, and singing.I once experienced that. Its still a phenomenon too me,and don't like the idea of going any more.

only if you want to, and believe that it will help you in your life. Going to church because it's the "done thing" isn't going to do anything for you other than bore the shit out of you. That being said, I'm an agnostic/athiest (kinda on the border, really), but I respect people's belief, and feel that if they really do believe it, and feel that they benefit from it, they should follow it. The one thing I don't believe people should do is follow something that they have no belief or faith in.

hmmm, I have the same question. Actually tomorrow will be the first time I have gone in a very long time. But I know that I need to be with belivers..... Hope you get your answer, hope you find what your lookin for :)

lol you don't have to really I've always felt that if you want to connect with god, you don't need someone to help you, the connection between god & man should be direct. imo priests are humans too, they're no more holier than yourself or anyone else who does good deeds and prays and holds faith in god regardless of how hard things are...etc etc but then again, i'm agnostic so idk why im even answering this lol

I love it alot. We meet lots of great people and its a place to really use our gifting. Its a nice place to learn more about Jesus. Find a spiritfilled one if you can and you will see such a difference in your life. Its alive in God's spirit there.

I've been asking myself the same question since the church I attended was closed down. If it had not been shut down, I know I would still be attending. I don't know where to go, that is my problem. If I had a church to go to, I would start to go now so I would feel part of the church before Christmas.

Depends on your reasons. Here's some good ones to try on: - world in crisis financially, climate-wise, and population size. - spiritual chaos in America: post-Christian culture - real risk of Avian Flu in coming years - breakdown of social mores and society - spiritual dangers from many sources - potential war with Russia in next 5 years - danger of west coast mega-quake: Cal. or WA - energy crises are not over - Bible prophecy is unfolding - God protects his own I would encourage you to find a solid, bible-based church, and stick with it. One that teaches fasting, prayer, and spending time in the Word. Not one that is only about feeling good and letting the pastor do all the spiritual work. One that is a family that helps its own members spiritually and physically. Make God a priority in your life, because we know the Tribulation period is soon coming, and Christians need to be as strong as they can be. Some prophecy students believe it has already started...check dvds by Eddie Chumney, Tom Deckard, and Dmitru Duduman, on Bible Prophecy. The Prophecy Club based in Topeka, KS, is another good resource, they host various speakers on tour, and sell media. If strengthening your relationship with God is your heart's desire - return to church. Find a healthy holy spirit filled one like I described. Assembly of God, Apostolic, Messianic Jewish, independent, Baptist - all starting points likely to be fruitful. If you just want to please family or keep tradition, then don't bother, because it won't have deeper meaning for you. Though you could reflect on that while in the church, and maybe you would want to go deeper into the things of God. Only you and God know your heart - which will it be?

No. Please don't trouble yourself.

If you feel the need, then, by all means, yes you should. I used to attend church regularly until I moved away. Once you stay away for a while, it is sometimes hard to get back into going. But whether you should or shouldn't is a question only you can answer and is not really for anyone else to say.

I can only speak for myself. Over two years ago, I went back because I had visited a small country church from my family roots-it was established in 1849. I had been a member of a large church previously but only attended on very rare occasions. Now, I attend regularly because I look forward to going for a variety of reasons-one being, I never feel downtrodden after the service but rather always uplifted. Another reason, is because I need to be strengthened by assembling with the believers there-they are accepting, non-judgmental and loving. So, if you were to find the church that is suited for you, you might want to go.
