  • actually more than 4,000 years, depends when exactly yoou start to count from Abraham, Moses or...
  • Abraham’s faith was to be put to the test. God appeared to him and commanded: “Go your way out of your country and from your relatives and from the house of your father to the country that I shall show you; and I shall make a great nation out of you and I shall bless you and I will make your name great; and prove yourself a blessing. And I will bless those who bless you, and him that calls down evil upon you I shall curse, and all the families of the ground will certainly bless themselves by means of you.”—Genesis 12:1-3. From this time Abraham came into a special covenant with God. Abraham was the tenth generation from Noah through Shem and was born 352 years after the Deluge, in 2018 B.C.E. 2018 + 2006 = 4024 years.
  • Judaism is basically 4,000 years ago. Although the Jewish year (on the lunar calendar) is 4767.
  • Judaism is about 3,000 years old. The earliest archeological evidence is an Egyptian stellae with the inscription Israel on it. Before this time there is no evidence of these people. The Patriarchs, Moses and the Exodus, and King David and Solomon are myths. These myths were created by the bilical authors to fulfill the needs of the people of their times. History is a modern innovation.
  • Do you mean Judaism or the Jewish nation or even the nation of Israel? Judaism stemmed from Israel's worship but when the 10 tribes went into exile they no longer existed as a nation. Therefore I suppose you could argue that Judaism began approx 1000 years before Christ. But Israel worshipped from Abraham until then. Before that Abraham came out of Ur or Babylon and was probably pagan until he met Yahweh. Before Abraham Yahweh was worshipped in the same way as Abraham (through sacrifice) by Abel. Abel being the son of Adam suggests to me the worship of Yahweh began at the beginning.
