  • I have a preference for 60's soul music, specifically on the Atlantic, Stax, Okeh & Motown labels. (There are far too many others to mention). I also like a lot of other genres, including Jazz, Dance, Reggae, Blues and 60's R&B (the PROPER R&B). Least favourites are Classical, Trad Jazz and Avant-garde.
  • Big Band. 40's and 50's ewwwwww
  • Hard rock is my least favorite genre because it may be difficult understand what the perosn is saying in the lyrics. However the piano is my favorite for its tranquility, softness, peacefullness and faithfulness.
  • Mexican music that makes me think I am at a carnival
  • rap. i h8 how they disrespects women
  • Music with meaningless lyrics. Stuff that just rhymes for the sake of it.
  • Progressive jazz & Hard Rock the scary rock that sounds like devil himself made it.
  • I hate the really full on, "Gangsta Rap " crap with a passion. I also hate the hardcore "Death metal" crap. Its just mindless roaring into a microphone.
  • Music without integrity. "Plastic performers".
  • Acid rock - Does that exist anymore? I also tend to recoil at any music that is angry and absuive.
  • I like lots of different types of music, but I don't like: Heavy rock, or 'trance' disco music. I can't understand how anybody can get enjoyment from listening to these types of 'music' . I think music should have a good tune, something you can 'sing' to, or is pleasant to listen to. Heavy rock, rap and 'trance' have none of those qualities, in my opinion. JamesD ;-)
  • Country. *shudders... I do have credibility in saying that I hate this kind of music, as I have had it forced into my ears for almost all of my life so far. Its all about Cowboys riding cowboys and touching eachother's "Tractors".
  • My favorite genre has got to be death metal. I can't stand emo, christian rock and Rap/hip hop/r&b
  • Classic rock favorite,Rap least favorite.
  • I don't have a favorite... I like classical, rock, jazz, new wave, international, soul, etc. I even like some rap, but some of it seems demeaning to me.
  • death metal is my favorite genre of music but more specifically i like melodic death metal and also thrash and SOME rock heres the breakdown 1 melodic death metal (dark tranquility arch enemy) 2 death metal (death<< morbid angel oldschool kind 3 thrash metal (metallica, slayer) 4 metalcore (lamb of god, as i lay dying) 5 classic metal (ozzy, dio and if guns n roses count but i think they're rock, oh well they're good) 6 black metal (cradle of filth dimmu borgir) 7 Alternative rock or metal (system of a down hinder (i dont know why but this band actually sounds descent)) 8 hard rock (ac/dc zeppelin) music i hate most 1 r and b (beyonce, i CANT STAND THIS IT PISSES ME OFF) 2 any kind of rap 3 soft pop 4 RAP MIXED WITH METAL I HATE LIMP BISCUIT with a passion 5 soft rock (pink floyd, i dont hate them but i just dont like that musical style at all.....) 6 jazz or any other kind of music like that 7 poser rock like papa roach or disturbed (its OK but i really dont like it much, i wont DIE if i listen to it)
  • That's kind of rude. But anyway, "Sean", I still love all kinds of music. Indie stuff is always better than commercialized bullcrap. I love music from Africa these days stemming from Rhythm of the Saints album that Paul Simon introduced over a decade or two and Graceland. I loved the grunge movement in the late '80's because to me it was the logical place to go after the '60's acid rock greatness. I like the artistic expression that comes out of raw, gutsy music, sans fear. I loved the White Stripes with two people, that was gutsy to me. So, I guess alternative Rock is always interesting to me.
  • I really don't have a favorite. I like just about all of it except for rap.
  • Punk Rock, Heavy Metal, Indie, then almost anything else is considered!! I'll listen to whatever reflects my mood!! :-/ barring gangster Rap! :-/
  • Classic Rocks, it brings back a lot of great memories.
  • 80's because thats when I grew up
  • I am a jazz guy.
