You mean the country that tried annihilate the natives who were here first and treated people of color as though they were animals? The country that tells certain groups of people that their relationships are less valid?

I ask myself that very same thing ALL the time. Where did all the human decency go??? I thank God that I grew up in a time where the majority of parents still tried to teach their children these virtues. That isn't to say that parents of today do not, its just not as common. And I find that sad. I personally, will try to do my part for society and instill these things into my children and hope that they become smart, warm, moralistic and productive members of society. (I'd give you a zillion pts for this question if I could!!!)

the same as anywhere else, dog eat dog or the rat race depending on conditions, and with a 23 trillion dollar debt it is only going to get worse, since they have no intention of paying us back, instead they are going to try and murder us (AGAIN) and cover it up under the pretense of "National Security" and participation in wars and peoples that have nothing to do with us ... We should have known better, once a thief always a thief and a Criminal and Corrupt people give rise to Criminal and Corrupt Governments no matter what they say .. ~Nemo~

How about in society, people lost all dignity, morals, and respect toward themselves and others. The way people dress now days with men wearing pants that show their undergarments and women wearing shirts that show some if not most of their breasts...where is the morals self respect in that?

Take away spanking, Call sex on tv freedom of speech, Walk around with your pants down and your underware tied on your head, Remove God from everywhere you can think of, and what do you think was going to happen.

I would say it went along when children started being raised by television and when it was no longer alright to spank your kids. Also I don't know many other people my age that grew up eating supper around the table with their family. I was lucky and am grateful for that.

Parent's quit teaching it. Parent's quit spanking butts and started using "time outs" which DO NOT WORK. It has become a "me" world and kids are getting anything they want without having to work for it. So, how can we expect them to care about others or have morals. It's all about pleasing me and me alone. There is no "discipline" when they are disrespectful or immoral. They are NOT being taught the value of life: murders in school, teens having abortions, teens having sex (no respect for themselves). All comes down to lack of parenting and discipline.

Our lifestyle has increased in pace and intensity to the point that courtesy and respect are seen as a waste of time, that serve no purpose. It's better in the South. You misspelled "regards"
