i think his death was called for. he killed thousands of people. he killed some family members. i mean, who would do that? no, i have not seen the video, and no i don't plan on it.

I think it's digusting the way his actual death was recorded and widely publicised. People are sick.

I think He deserves death. As a dictator,Saddam led Iraq as head of the Baath Party, practiced one-party rule, censorship, instigated violence against Iraq's Shia, Kurdish, and Marsh Arab populations. He also espoused secular pan-Arabism, economic modernization, and Arab socialism. On December 26, Saddam's appeal was rejected and the death sentence upheld. He was hanged, in front of lawyers, officials, and a doctor at approximately 06:00 Baghdad time (03:00 UTC) on December 30, 2006, according to Iraqi television Only after he died,when the body was taken out the vedio was displayed.But they say they would release it on T.V soon in Iraq..

I don't believe in the death penalty. It's murder, period. I do however, believe he deserved a lifetime of punishment. His last minutes were excrutiating I'm sure, but isn't a lifetime of punishment more effective than a few minutes?

It was barbaric by our standards, but discrete and final justice in the eyes of the Iraqi. It is an education to see Islamic justice in action. How better to demonstrate the differences in our cultures? The World Court should have handled the trial for greater credibility.
