How can one prove that 1+1=2 (it has been done)? The way I see it there are only 3 ways to express the number two: the sound, the symbol, and the definition that it is 1+1. Can someone explain it to me?

Two is not a sound or a symbol. It's an amount. people often forget this. For example A ;this is one A AA ;this is two As AAA ;this is three As AAAA ;this is four As AAAAA ;this is five As The words we use to say a number depends on the language. Also,most people use the symbols 0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 but you could use any symbols. My favorite number system is binary. In that case 1+1==10
