  • Chemical pregnancies ARE pregnancies - you WERE pregnant, but the fetus was miscarried early on. Most women (around 80%) have a chemical pregnancy the first time around. It drops significantly after the first pregnancy. It can mess up your menstruation cycle from that point forward. Further if you had a chemical pregnancy it could mean that you are now more fertile and will catch far easier that tends to be the case with around one third of women studied - prior to their first pregnancy (the chemical one) they were not as fertile, afterward... Only if this is your first pregnancy. Pregnancy tests are only good 14 days after conception - either 14 days you last had sex, or 14 days after the last missed period.
