I think a lot of it depends on your partner's viewpoint on the matter, as well as your own. Personally, I think it would add to the activities, as long as my partner didn't feel threatened... case in point: My husband has ED issues now and then, due to medical problems. When I suggested bringing in toys, he informed me that they were fine for alone-time, but not when we were together. And I have to put that down in my book as him seeing it as a slight to his already-bruised ego. But he's expressed an interest in finding a small vibrator (egg-sized or smaller) that he can use on my clitoris while he's inside me, else while he's using fingers inside me.
