  • whats the guitar? whats the amp? how do you set up your eq? what kind of effects do you use? then we can probly help you find a sound
  • Get heavier guage strings and tune to pitch. Raise the string action higher off the fingerboard. Not work? You can get a Squier or an Epiphone with a little tube amp for pretty cheap nowadays..
  • One obvious answer that rams me right in the face is pickup height. If your pickups are too low the will have a muddy sound. While to high may overdive everything. There really isn't much to adjusting their height. You won't break anything. If you bring them up too high the sound will resonate a little. Too low and that muddy sound creeps in and volume will be an issue. Next adjust one of the pickups relative to the other for good sound while using both pickups. The bridge pickup is much brighter than the neck and can be adjusted higher for a brighter sound when played with the neck or lower for a darker sound with the neck.
