I would go to my local butchers grab some braising steak then head to the local supermarket grab an onion, chopped tomatoes, potatoes, brocolli and carrots. (Already have in beef stock cubes and mixed herbs) Then head home and start cooking it. Dead easy and ready in 1 1/2 hrs. If u want the recipe get back in touch!

If my partner's parents were Brits......I'd choose to make Chicken Tikka Masala If my partner's parents were Americans........I'd choose to make Cheese Burgers This might sound to you lame, but that's what I'd make and if they hate it.........they can have me for Desert

If you are a female and it's your boyfriend's / husband's parents coming round, then I'd go to the shops, buy some easy-to-make but tasty food, and cook them a dinner. If you a male and it's your girlfriend's / wife's parents coming round, then I'd go for the takeaway. Why the difference? This may sound sexist, but it's the way things works - a male's parents (especially his mother) will want to know that his choice of partner can look after him, and that will include making a good meal. Personally, I'd go for the easiest thing to do because the whole point is to meet the parents, not spend all night in the kitchen (whichever gender you are).
