The trails & tribulations are for everyone, we are flawed due to Original Sin. Also where is the big black hole that should be reconsuming the entire Universe.

If you found God to exist I highly doubt you would have the courage to punch him! God doesnt "treat us badly" - He does however "allow" things to happen. It is a reasonable question though - many people wonder the same thing.

See, that's what the thought is, he's 'supposed to be all caring'. We don't know that. That's the Judeo-Christian god, God. I'm agnostic as well. And I don't assume that if there is a god, then it's either the Judeo-Christian one, or there isn't one at all. That's being just as closed minded as a devout Roman Catholic that believes in most if not all of what the Vatican has to say. Since you are a free thinker like I am, then eliminate the thought of the possibility of there being one. Just say this: I don't have sufficient evidence for the proof of a god(s), and so I presume there aren't any, even though it is hard to believe that this is all there is, until I find proof of the contrary. Simple. Instead of saying,"God is treating me pretty bad recently", say,"life is treating me pretty bad recently." PROBLEM SOLVED!

There is black and white, up and down, left and right. All are opposites. Of course, there is good and evil. God is the creator of good - the devil is the creator of evil. God can't help you if you turn your back on Him. If you go away from God, he can not intercede on your behalf. Just as if you run away from your mother and father here on earth, they can't help you unless you want their help and turn to them for help and love. God doesn't punish or abandon us. WE do that to HIM.

I understand what you mean. And again, if God invoked all of his power without the will of man (men/women) - then there is no free will - no division of good and evil which takes away the basic principles of existance. In this life, we are not guaranteed anything. The scriptures do not promise a life without strife, murder and mayhem. There is always the influence of evil working through people that affect all people around them, regardless of their Faith. There are forces of nature that are greater than people's ability to control them. But God does not design these things to "punish" us. We are always covered by His Grace - which has nothing to do with our works by our hands, but our Faith in our hearts. True faith - not just actions of "being" good. You can be good and be a good person all day long, and still not understand that God loves you no matter what you do. People of faith know that God does not judge and punish. We all sin - but God has forgiven our sin, past present and future through his Grace. His Grace and love helps us deal with what happens in the world to ALL people. Just because Christians are Christians, they do not escape the body getting old and eventually failing - for whatever reason. It is up to us to claim His love and protection though. Too often, even people that profess to be religious and go to Church every Sunday still lack a personal relationship with God - and thus fail to truly trust Him with their needs. That doesn't mean they aren't "good people" though - however, they still are turning away from God in their heart because they want to control everything themselves and not REALLY give God a chance to help them. So, in essence, these "good" people are keeping God in their lives - but at "arms-length". God doesn't love us "conditionally" - and we can't love him conditionally either.

I guess you missunderstand the point here... He did not treat you bad... You have been treated bad by people around you, you are blaming someone else. Find out why you are not been treated to way you think that is fair and you will not need to puch the wrong one.
