  • To annoy you at a picnic...
  • Ants are the janitors/cleaners. They and other bugs eat all the waste.
  • Ants serve the same purpose as every other form of life on the planet: none. And while this is true, it is also true and important to realize that ants, and every other living thing on Earth, serve as an integral and irreducible component of life of the larger whole.
  • ANTS exist to test our patience and "value of life" philosophies. But that is just their day job. the rest of the time, they are grooming and cleaning the planet. They also love a good picnic, so always take an "offering", maybe a ding-dong, to honor them and perhaps entice them to leave you alone.
  • Proverbs 6:6-11 6 Go to the ant, you lazy one; see its ways and become wise. 7 Although it has no commander, officer or ruler, 8 it prepares its food even in the summer; it has gathered its food supplies even in the harvest. 9 How long, you lazy one, will you keep lying down? When will you rise up from your sleep? 10 A little more sleep, a little more slumbering, a little more folding of the hands in lying down, 11 and your poverty will certainly come just like some rover, and your want like an armed man. The ant provides a good example on how to be hard working and industrious.
  • They clean and rearrange. As part of the ecosystem, they keep things in balance. They are also considered by some to be delicious and nutritious food.
