yes...But doesn't it cost more money?
-
if ya deserve that penalty ya deserve a horrible death, though i think it should depend on how serious the crime was

Depends on how you mean by decent. And how you mean by poison. Carbon monoxide poisoning is very humane, causes no pain and simply makes the person fall asleep and never wake up. But then many may argue that the whole idea of corporal punishment is that the person suffers for their crimes, in which case CO poisoning wouln't be good.

I think the most decent way to do it is to first have a less fallible justice system. There are some cases where the truth is clear-cut; many credible witnesses, caught in the act, etcetera. But many cases there is enough reasonable doubt to at least allow the "condemned" person to live long enough to appeal, run DNA tests, and so on as there are too many innocents on Death Row. For the obvious cases though, there are still many types of poison and some of them are quite gruesome. The 8th Amendment (amongst other treaties, laws, statutes and the like) frown on those. Personally, I like firing squads. A properly aimed firearm of sufficient caliber will inflict an instantly fatal wound before the pain can even register. Of course headshots aren't pretty, but they are quick.

how about the gullitine style

cheaters should be tortured very very slowly!

IF we are going to have the death penalty, it is the 20 year appeals process that is cruel, not the particular method used in the process. The process should be as stress free and painless as possible. We owe this to what is left of our own humanity.

Depending on the type of poison, there are some out there like Cyanide that would be a painful death.

well all the ways people are executed takes awhile and cant be too good, im sure a firing squad would be more effective. The chair requires two very large electric charges, the first one basicly turns you into a potatoe and makes your body use all its addrenalin so it cant start there heart up, then the second charge comes and finish's them off, they are litterally cooked. The lethal injection takes like an hour, its not the quickest way to go. id probily think a firing squad would be the most humane way to go, That or giving them a parachute and saying theyre sky diving, but not having a parachute, that'd be a fun way to go

I WONDER how much thought or consideration went into the INHUMANE act that caused this person or people to get the death penalty. In this country Murder is a 12-15 year sentence with good behaviour and just saying how sorry they are they can be back on the street to kill again in 8-10 years. Give me the Death penalty anyday

Personally I think the guillotine would be humane. Woosh and you're done, little to no chance of surviving, or need to modulate dosages based on body weight/fat %. Plus, rather than producing endless supplies of expensive poisons, utilizing electicity, or manufacturing a bunch of bullets, you make one per jurisdiction and then maintain it.
