  • Any chemical compound that is not compatible with the natural functions of our body systems are toxic to some extent ranging from mildly toxic to severely poisonous. When the liver tries breaking them down for assimilation by our system it must work extra hard damaging itself. Then the liver tries to remove them from the system damaging itself further. So to answer the question I must say that any item that is not naturally edible can damage the liver in varying degrees.
