  • It really depends on the area where you live. Most of the dust is micronized particles of rock of the type in your area. When you 'dust' the particles get electrically charged. They attach to one another based on polarity becoming larger particles. The larger particles too repeat the same process as long as you keep dusting them till they are large and heavy enough to settle down on the floor as dirt. Daily dusting and mopping the floor once a week should be more effective.
