well i dont know that its not ok for anybody to wear anything. however, blue can be gender neutral, whereas pink is universally feminine. so there you go.

The same thing that makes it ok to send her to kindergarten in pants, but not him in a dress.

Pink is considered to be a big feminine color while blue can either be a feminine or masculine color. Now that you mention it it seems like every color could be a feminine color. Interesting question.
-
Who said that?! That its not acceptable.. I've seen baby boys wearin pink.. and baby girls wearin blue.. and all the other colours...
-
Same reason its exceptable for a girl to wear mens clothes, but a guy wearing girls clothes looks funny. Nah imean.

a 100 years ago it was pink for boys and blue for girls the thought was that pink represented a more passionate side of boys and the blue was a more gentle color so it was better suited for girls That was then this is now, the culture is different It might also have to do with society looking at a baby boy as something more soft and weak and...well feminine... and not so tough like what is more excepted But what do I know
-
I think it's basically that pink looks very "girly", whereas blue, whilst more masculine, still looks okay on a girl and doesn't automatically make her look like a boy.
-
Because society is inherently sexist, and believes that if a girl wears blue, that's a step up. If a boy wears pink, it's a step down. (It is, of course, perfectly acceptable for anyone to wear any color on the visible spectrum.)
