  • In the current climate, I don't know.
  • I'm with nevets.I'm not sure how to feel about it.
  • I think the timing is terrible because his supporters might take the New Year's celebration in Times Square as an opportunity to retaliate.
  • IT is too kind, they should put him back in the hole he was found in and fill it in slowly like he did to millions. I thing we have more extremists inside britain they have been breeding here longer and it is easier for those born outside the box to enter the country. So Trafalgar Square could be a target but this is Britain we are used to murdering terrorist bastards
  • I'm still trying to figure out how we demonstrate to everyone (and don't think for a moment his execution isn't a demonstration) that killing is wrong by killing someone. I'm missing the logic of it.
  • I dunno... It's pretty lame because he's not even going to suffer for what he's done.
  • Anytime a life is taken it's a sad day. He was a terrible man and did some terrible things but I don't think killing him serves much of a purpose. It might just insight more terrorizm, but I certainly hope not?
  • This isn't a question seeking answers, it a question seeking opinions, which isn't what this site is about.
  • AWWW SNAP!!!!
  • well what took so long? i would have hanged him long ago.
  • i'm actually against the death penalty, i don't think you could justlfy murder, with murder. also in case someone is innocent. but in his case i could make an exeption, knowing about all those people who died because of him.
  • I don't think it is a good idea. If you hang someone who has not done any more than any other Middle Eastern leader has done, a martyr will be created. I hope to God they will not retaliate.
  • I think it is great! I think they should have shot him in the hole they found him in.
  • Just not done quick enough. Git 'er done!!
  • awh, he's not dead yet?
  • A total disaster for the supposedly 'civilized' Western World, where execution is almost totally banned. I must state that I am sternly against the death penalty, viewing it as barbaric, vengeant, crude and inhuman. Beside, if there is no God, then those executed have been let off easy because a lifetime in prison is far worse than nonexistent Hell. This is a horrible backward step for the USA, essentially proving what has been supposed by the countries we invade: that we are barbaric and wrathful bastards. The potential for reprisals is great, endangering our troops, Iraqi police, Americans around the world, and especially innocent Iraqis who we seem to have forgotten have been brutally blown apart in the numbers in excess of one-hundred-fifty-thousand. I hope a snipers' Lapua 0.338 doesn't take my head off as I sleep tonight because I pray for SH's soul, but only that god forgive him. No civilized society executes people.
  • Everywhere I go, when I hear about this all I can think about is the word 'Matyr'. As violent as it is in Iraq, it's going to get much worse. Of all the people who don't want Hussein to be hanged, there's bound to be a violent few. That violent few will blow up a mosque or two, and will kill some American soldiers. The Americans will retaliate with clusterbombs and airstrikes, killing more innocent people and making more people pissed off, repeating the cycle with acceleration.
  • I think the world is a better place without that monster. I was watching a review of his rise to power in Iraq and some of the horrible things he did to the people of Iraq, and I remember why most people supported the invasion of Iraq in 2003, before it turned into the mess that it is now. I'm glad he is dead. I only hope that his execution won't spark new violence. This evil man has caused enough pain and suffering.
  • owrld is a better place now
  • It couldn't have happened to a more deserving person. The atrocities he committed at the expense of his own people, my only complaint is he got off to easy. Now, his body should be dragged thru the streets like our soldiers were.
  • He was an evil and disgusting man. I hope he's burning in the deps of hell! Love you guys, AnswerWoman532
  • He got what he deserved.
  • It was too fast, it was too kind, and at the same time it gives the arabs a precedent to live by and hopefully suceed.
  • does not make any difference to me one way or another, just one unlucky bastard, should have picked a different hole to hide in. Tough luck.
  • So unfortunate that the photo was taken; on the other hand, the definite assurance that he was dead was somehow needed by some people. His death will not be a factor as to whether Bush, Cheney and Rove's effort to finish "Daddy Bush's War" because the only factor will be George w. Bush himself...the malingerer, the dry alcoholic who still has all of the addictive personality...sad for the world, especially America.
