I started answering questions a few days ago to kill time until I start a new job Monday. I'm having fun just responding to things. I'm sure I sound like an idiot to some people and brilliant to others. Not my concern. I hope I am spreading good will and gratitude to people who express their opinion. I know I am no genius, but it really is good practice for me to just think on my feet and respond. Of course, if I know zero about a subject, I just read and learn! I appreciate sincere and honest response. I'm not so concerned if what people say measures up to any expectation I may have.
-
Yes.I normally do it but it is very rare that I jest.
-
Given the limited nature of this medium, yes, I think so.
-
That's not for me to decide. I try my best though.
-
I answer complex meaningful questions itelligently, but i usualy say whatever comes to mind, great thing about AB
-
Compared to the fair amount of nonsensical, unhelpful, and negative answers on AB, I'd say that my input isn't so bad at all - LOL! I would consider my AB style to incorporate both more thoughtful, intricate responses mixed with some (hopefully) humor and light banter. If I pull off 'witty' every now and then, well then I am having a particularly good day. :D
-
I do try my best.
-
Not always. Sometimes I find a better answer before I could post. So anytime, I try to the give the best answer that I can, and try not to repeat then answer(Unless it is unique)
-
Sometimes I don't "get" that the question is really some lyrics to a particular song..so my answer is always serious and occasionally it doesn't fit. I try to answer intelligently. :)
-
No, but I'm in Mensa, so I'm not worried.
-
Yes, at least that is my intent.
-
If I'm trying to answer a question seriously, yes, although I do sometime post flippant / facetious / humorous responses too (but I still put intelligent input into them).
-
I try to give the best that I'm able, but some Qs would require an essay. In those cases, I feel like I'm coming up short on what could be said.
-
I try to only select questions which beg for a funny answer or a question that i am "qualified" to answer.
-
I try to answer them intelligently and if I am using English terminology I try to put other words in brackets to make Better to give too much input than too little.
-
Hmmmmm ... two key words: 1) enough (I hope so) 2) intelligent input (I try to) I've got a mix of answers, I think. Some factual, some opinion, some philosophical, some funny, some .. whatever the heck they are. But throughout all, I do bring a spirit of curiosity and caring. I'm interested in what other ask and answer. I'm always aware that any words here have a real, live human being on the other side of them. And I'll do my best to connect and help.
-
I do if it's a question that requires an intelligent response, otherwise I will try to make you laugh with a smart ass crack or something funny. :-)
-
For the most part, but when its those "what first comes to mind" I dont know if I have to define it further, because if I read more into to it I would probably change my answer, and defeat the whole idea.
-
With what I've got to work I believe I do as well as can be expected. What do you think?
-
Yes, I try to give out complete answers with justification and an explanation with no one word answers.
-
Sometimes I do.
-
I always give deeply intellectual information;)
-
Not really a priority of mine.
-
I do try my best with what ever limited knowledge i do have.
-
not really
-
I try, but sometimes the question gets in the way
-
Yes, but not usually on Answerbag.
-
I try, but it's probably mostly halfass anyway. Unless it's about zombies. >_>
