Veritas cant turn down a woman in red

Help answer this question below.

My disc for Grand Theft Auto: Vice City is slightly damaged. this damage results in my character walking backwards instead of forwards, and it it impossible to play. How can I fix this?

    As you load the game push up on the controller it might reconfigure it.
    Sometimes when you load a game and hold it with a button pressed it remembers the action and will continue that action throughout the game.
    if this does'nt work get a new controller.

    Walk backwards!? Does pressing down go forwards? If so, you might just have a control settings issue. At any rate this doesn't seem like a disk damage issue.
