It would be a good time to have your water analysis completed to see what is wrong. It might be time for you to change about 25% of your water level, change filter, add algea control fluid. be sure to wipe down the inside of the tank, and when you restart the filter system, take out the filter and let it run for aobut 6 hours without it being in, and then put in a new one.

what type of filtration system are you using? Is it a wet/dry system? or some other kind with a charcoal filter? You may need to change some filters. How often do you change the water? You are supposed to change 5% of the water ever month. What can help with the algea is to buy a couple of salt water sanils and let them eat the algea. They love that stuff. You can also buy a sponge specifically for removing any algea from the tank walls. I'd also take your water into a store for analysis. Are your fish dying on you? or they sluggish? Sometimes the PH is off and needs to be boosted. I used to have a salt water tank but the maintenance on it is never-ending. You are always checking the salinity, PH, nitrates....ect...A huge pain. You may want to consider having routine maintenance done on your tank by a qualified pro.
