  • Try removing your memory card, because I notice as the PSP is turned on, the system tries to access the memory card. In your case the memory card may be faulty. If this does not work, you will probably have to send your system to Sony in order to have them fix the system. Hopefully your system is still under warranty.
  • pull the battery out of the psp while it is turned on, then put back in and it will reset
  • Have you done any modifying with your PSP? Downloaded updates? Sometimes these things can "brick" your PSP which I certainly hope isn't the case but is worth looking into.
  • Disconnect the battery, reconnect and switch it on whilst holding down both top two corner clear buttons. It should restart in recovery mode. Toggle down and select RECOVERY folder, then select. If this folder is corrupted you will have to get a copy off of the internet and replace it using the usb connector. This usually does the trick, if it will not start in recovery mode, it's a SONY job. Good luck
  • I have tryed the first comment by removing the battery but it is still like that.
  • wut you have to do is hold the home button and hold the power button up and it will pop up sony entertainment or somthing like that which wut that does is resets the psp without going to default settings. I hope this works for you
  • First off throw it into a wall stomp on it pick it up throw it into a fire get it out hit it with a sludge hammer burn it again gather its ashes into a flask throw it out into the sea a fish should eat it and your dad will be fishing that day and catch that fish and he will stab the fish and eat it if that doesnt work then I dont know what will.
  • Buy a new sony psp battery and it will work perfectly well
  • hold down both top clear buttons and the home button at the same time this fixed mine with the sane problem.

  • If there is no sound coming out of your PSP you may have a General hardware fault, basically meaning your PSP is a brick. If you DO get sound you may have a problem with either your screen, or screen backlight. Pray it's your backlight, because if it's the screen itself you may as well have a brick of a PSP. If your warantee is good, return it. If not, they do have newer versions of the PSP out. If you have to toss it look into places that repair PSPs they might be able to repair it or buy your brick for parts. Good luck!
  • Is all this with the psp plugged in? I get no response from any of these methods. No light, no sound, nuthin'... if anyone can help me further I'd appreciate it!
  • ok, get a small battery powered drill, go to the center of the back of the unit, right in the middle of the s in psp. Drill until the bit comes out the other side, go get one of those cool $2 battery operated clocks, take the hands (the arrows that point to the time) off. open your psp and take all parts out, replace with the motor part of the clock so the post where the hands attach are sticking out the fron of the psp. put the psp back together (without the inside parts) attach the hands to the little post sticking out the front of your psp. Now you have a cool psp clock. This procedure is always best for bricked psps...esp. if they are older versions.
  • when i turned on nothing happen
