I actually believe that Obama is going to make a excellent pres. he has alot to set into motion and I doublt he can do it in 4 yrs. I think he will probably go for a 2nd term. He has made history being our first black pres. I'm hoping he will get us out of the war, and help the middle class with jobs and healthcare.

I think he has the potential to be.

He's okay with breaking international law, he's not going to do a thing about corporate crime - of course, he'll be great.

I really do. I watched his first press conference three times. My impression is that Obama is knowledgeable, intelligent, and, in my opinion, enormously capable. He understands complex issues. He "gets it". Even now, after the election, his detractors still see arrogance and deception, hidden agendas. But millions more see decency, strength, and focused, unruffled, self-assurance. In Barack Obama, they see a man who demonstrates decisive, effective, leadership. He's a natural leader. He will be a great president. Since 2001, this country has yearned for more than just periodic glimpses of those qualities in its Commander in Chief. Now, in the floundering America of 2008, Obama's detractors better hope the millions have it right.

Maybe. I certainly hope so. Hold a good thought. We shall see.

No, I think Reagan was the first great president of "my" generation. I am cautiously optimistic on president Obama. I am a Libertarian and believe that the best government is a small government, neither Republicans(since Reagan) nor Demarcates (since FDR) have exercised that belief. I doubt that Obama will either. Government has two jobs in mt opinion 1)keep me safe, and 2) leave me the fuck alone. I hope he will do both but I'm afraid he won't do either.
