Attorneys also need to know how to calculate their personal taxes, including amortization of their office space (if they own the building), current values of all assets, etc. They also need to know how to assess values in divorce settlements and breach of contract cases. They need to know their state's formula for determining child support payments. These are just a few of the ways math is used daily by attorneys.
