The 2.8 V6 or the 1.8T? Which is a better STOCK engine(no modifications whatsoever) from VW and why?

The 2.8v6 the 1.8T has a big problem with the coils it goes through them for fun resulting in a lack of power, I used to have a golf 1.8 Turbo and it was nothing but trouble and not as quick as you would think.
