Has anyone been diagnosed with cardiac asthma? IF so, did a heart specialist or an asthma specialist diagnose your condition and what type of treatment are you undergoing?

An athma specialist diagnosed me with induced athsma, would that be the same thing? Because I never get symptoms unless I'm running or something equivalent and I'm in really good shape. I was just given an inhaler (Maxair auto inhaler) and sent on my way. I've never heard either one before so I apologize for not bieng of much help, I hope you get a good answer then we'll both know. :/

Cardiac Asthma is a bit of misnomer. Asthma is breathing difficulty and wheezing due to inflammation and spasm of the small air ways. Cardiac asthma is the same symptoms but it is caused by pressure buildup that results in fluid accumulation in the lungs or "CHF." In my practice if you are short of breath from a cardiac cause it needs attention.
